Player of the Month #60: Arrogante Toxikz

This month, we’re excited to introduce Saul - Arrogante Toxikz, a player with over 18 years of experience, passionate about the Royal Paladin vocation, and known for a path marked by leadership, consistency, and dedication to the game.

Join us as we explore his story and perspective within Tibia!

1. Tell us a bit about your experience in Tibia. How long have you been playing and what initially drew you to the game?

– I’ve been playing for many years—I'm not exactly sure how long, but I’d say around 18 years. I started playing Tibia because of a classmate’s recommendation. Like any beginner, the game didn’t seem very appealing at first—especially when you start by dying five times to rats and getting stung by a bunch of snakes, haha. Honestly, it was a bit boring in the beginning, but little by little, I started visiting cyber cafés and realized what a challenge it was back then to reach level 100—or even 30. It was tough.

2. Why did you decide to specialize as a Paladin? What aspects of this vocation motivate you the most?

– I didn’t start out as a Paladin. My first vocation was Sorcerer, based on my friend’s advice. Over time, though, I started identifying more with the Paladin because I liked the resistance and the ability to attack creatures from a distance. What motivated me most was how effective the attacks could be without needing to get too close.

3. We know you’re on a currently dominated server. What has that experience been like? What challenges have you faced and what strategies do you use to thrive?

– I don’t consider myself a super player or a bad one. I’d say I’m about an 8/10. Over the years, I’ve gained skills, and in a way, the game evolved to make each stage more accessible. I've faced different challenges: adapting to caves, making good experience, participating in wars, climbing team ranks, leading a server, being patient, listening, and understanding different types of players. My main strategy is learning not to give up. Don’t just play for the sake of playing—understand gameplay mechanics, battles, missions, quests, bosses, and more.

4. Your goal is to reach level 1000 as a Paladin. How are you preparing for this, and what have been the biggest obstacles on the way?

– Since I was a kid, I used to ask myself, “Wow, what must it feel like to have a level 1000+ Paladin?” I’ve always focused on having good skills and figuring out how to make a Paladin deal even more damage. I haven’t hit level 1000 yet, but I’ve leveled at least 6 or 7 characters to level 700–880, since I often played on new servers when they opened. Now I’m focused only on my current server, and the goal is crystal clear. Reaching level 1000 no longer feels like a difficult task—it’s just a matter of playing with stamina, investing in boosts, and giving it time. The biggest obstacle is finding a dedicated team. Due to work, studies, or personal issues, many people end up quitting.

5. You're known for your focus on quests and missions. What has been your favorite quest so far and why?

– My main focus is killing bosses that bring great difficulty with each new update. Unfortunately, you don’t find teams just around the corner willing to do this kind of content. Many prefer to enjoy other parts of the game. For me, the most important and exciting challenge was building a team with the same goal of not giving up. Killing the bosses from the Rotten Blood Quest has been one of the most thrilling and rewarding experiences in the game.

6. As a team player, how do you handle coordination and communication during team hunts? What do you think is key to a successful hunt in Tibia?

– I believe the key to a successful team hunt is identifying and meeting the needs of each member, understanding what everyone wants to achieve, and making it happen. It may not always be the most efficient, but it brings satisfaction, stability, and player retention over time.

7. What is your favorite respawn to explore and why?

– I haven’t hunted in places like Dark Light yet. I think that would be the perfect respawn to explore.

8. What skills do you consider most important for a Paladin in high-risk situations like PvP or boss fights?

– The Paladin's role is to be a literal wall that protects the more fragile vocations in certain respawns. I make an effort to maximize every detail of a hunt to achieve peak performance. Being a Paladin isn’t just about shooting explosive arrows—it’s about protecting each player’s integrity. I’m good at solving complicated situations in team hunts, and I always have UHs in my backpack—they’ve even helped me save the ED or mage on the team.

9. How do you balance your time between leveling and participating in other activities like quests and special events?

– Most of the time, I’m hunting, but there’s always time for a little “chart love,” haha.

10. Is there a memorable moment in your Tibia journey that you’d like to share? Any achievement or experience that’s been especially rewarding?

– Overcoming various in-game obstacles is always memorable, but what truly excites me is seeing people close to me succeed and reach their goals. “If they’re doing well, I’m doing well.” I still haven’t dropped a Ferumbras Hat—that will be my moment.

11. What’s your opinion about the Tibia community overall? How would you describe player interaction on your server?

– The Tibia community is currently very toxic, but there are still a lot of people who will undoubtedly be there for you.

12. Do you have any advice for new players who want to improve quickly and adapt to the game?

– Hmm… always check a guide or video. Back in the day, we didn’t have that, but now there are tons of people who can help you maximize hunts through their videos.

13. As a streamer, how has your experience been streaming Tibia? What do you enjoy most about interacting with your audience while playing?

– I stream Tibia with the goal of helping each viewer understand what may have once seemed impossible. I’m always open to interacting and clearing up any kind of doubt.

14. Do you have any long-term plans or projects in Tibia that you’d like to achieve in the future?

– For now, the plan is to level up and become a powerful Royal Paladin.

15. You’ve played on war servers, retro servers, and dominated servers. What do you think are the main differences in gameplay between these types of servers?

– Not everyone is willing to lose a lot of experience or items for getting red skull. Retro servers these days die out quickly or become empty because of their gameplay style. Just someone standing next to you can ruin your progress there. Most of the Tibian population is on open PVP or no PVP servers, where the gameplay experience tends to be more satisfying.

16. On war servers, combat and PvP dynamics are very different. How do you adapt your playstyle and strategies on this kind of server?

– Experience and all these years of playing have allowed me to fully understand every gameplay style. That’s helped me survive many situations.

17. Retro servers offer a more classic experience. What do you like most about them?

– I played on retro servers years ago, and sometimes I miss those long battles. The experience and the way you share moments with others just isn’t the same. As I said before, retro worlds are no longer as popular due to how they work.

18. How does the community differ between server types?

– There’s a lot of diversity and different ways to enjoy the game. From the most common thing—coming home from work and hanging out with Tibian friends—to players who love killing each other all day, or those who are more neutral and enjoy other aspects like addons, quests, missions, mysteries, etc.

With this interview, we not only get to know a remarkable player better, but we also get a glimpse of what it truly means to grow and evolve within Tibia. His perseverance, team spirit, and passion for overcoming every challenge are an inspiration to both old-school and new players alike.

We thank him for sharing his journey, his stories, and his advice with us.

We wish him great success on his path to level 1000!

See you in the next edition of Tibia Goals, where we’ll continue highlighting those who leave their mark on the Tibian world.
